What is AltStudio?
An AI workspace for research, analysis, and the deliverables that come out of them — and the four surfaces you work across.
AltStudio is an AI workspace for knowledge work. Instead of jumping between a chat tool, a doc editor, a slide builder, and a pile of reference files, you do the work in one place — with an AI partner that understands the context of what you're building.
Most work in AltStudio happens across four surfaces. You don't have to choose one up front; you move between them as the work demands.
The Workbench
The Workbench is the front door — a conversation with Alto, the AI orchestrator. You describe what you need in plain language and Alto responds, asks clarifying questions, and produces real outputs: written documents, slide decks, research, and more. It can also build a canvas for you, pull in relevant knowledge, and hand work to agents.
The Canvas
The canvas is a visual workspace where you compose work as a graph of connected nodes — an AI step here, a web search there, a document or presentation as the output. It's the right surface when work has structure: multiple steps, branches, or pieces that feed into each other. You can run the whole graph or a single node and watch results stream in.
Knowledge
Your knowledge store is everything AltStudio can draw on: uploaded documents, reference files, transcripts, and your brand and business context. Anything here can be referenced by Alto in a conversation or by a node on the canvas, so outputs are grounded in your material rather than generic answers.
The Dashboard
The Dashboard is where ongoing and automated work surfaces — items that need your attention, work in motion, and recently completed results. It's especially useful once agents are doing work on their own and reporting back.
Who it's for
AltStudio is built for people who produce knowledge-heavy deliverables — consultants, analysts, researchers, and operators — who want an AI partner that works from their real context and produces finished artifacts, not just chat.
